that´s the big mystery, isn´t it. i´m coming back as far as you know, but as far as i know, i don´t know. i think i´m gonna rent a scooter in barcelona and take off to the mountains, dump the scooter when it runs out of gas, and hitchhike to Bilboa. maybe i´ll finally learn how to ski.

now in sevilla! the weather is so nice, madrid was like 35 and drizzly, but sevilla is 60ish and sunny. the food here is awesome. they have this calamari dish that´s fried into a tortilla-thing. so cool. and the wine... oh, the wine! sangria too. we need to get some sangria in texas. chris, jon- we should open a spanish-influenced bar and play EMF and serve pitchers of sangria with tapas.

I hope you read this in time. A wonderful band called Lamb is playing at the Madrid Arena tonight (18th). I recommend them. Be safe, dog.

yo yo from spain. Rebecca, i am in Madrid and saw the Sofia museum yesterday, it was indeed awesome. I stared at Guernica for 20 minutes. Tomorrow is the Prado. I´ll check out the park. The weather has been pretty good so far, so parks are a treat. BCN was cool and sunny, but Madrid is a tad colder - it hits 35 at night. EMF? sweet. i´m there. just my luck, Mark Lanegan was here last week. Remember him? i´ve been looking for the wine glasses of which you spoke and got to sample them at a trendy bar in BCN. they´re neat. Madrid reminds me of other big cities in europe and i´m actually itching to get to cordoba and sevilla. i was in a supposedly younger part of town last night, but since it was monday, it was pretty empty. some older dude spotted me as a tourist and stared following me, which was really creepy, but i lost him after a couple blocks. he was a lame stalker - much too obvious.

have a good time. also I heard that your apparent favorit band, EMF, will be playing matinee shows at the Madrid American Dinner Theater through March. It's on Plaza de Faixas Americanas.

I want to go to Spain. If you find yourself in Madrid (and are checking messages on your website), I highly recommend the Reina Sofia museum and el Parque de El Buen Retiro. Son muy fabulosos!
