After a night of drinking I watched Requiem for a Dream. BAD IDEA. I’m all fucked up now. As the closing credits rolled at the end and the music kept playing, I scrambled for the remote to make it all go away. Shit, that music. I was about ready to run outside screaming my head off.
PS: David Garza’s website has posted new tour dates. He’ll be at Cactus Café in Austin on 4/28. I will do my best to be there. Any takers?

seriously, see the other movies in that list. then lets talk. also, that particular version of "Three Days" is the best I've heard. I still pine for it.

that song is awesome. i would never, ever want to see a movie version of it, though. my veins pop out just listening to the song. i can't imagine what the movie would do.

ahh, requiem. a movie that I'm glad I saw and i'm even gladder that I'll never see again. aronofsky is a twisted fruck. if you want to see some good addiction movies that won't make you want to scratch your eyes out (in my personal order of preference): Trainspotting Drugstore Cowboy Jesus' Son Naked Lunch Spun Another Day in Paradise Sid and Nancy addiction movies are actually one of my favorite subgenres. It's really rare but if you can find it, see Perry Farrell's movie "Gift". it manages to combine heroin addiction, necrophilia and a kick-ass version of Jane's Addictions' song "Three Days".
