no World Series; Halloween help

the Astros had a good run, but the World Series went to the Cardinals. there's always next year, though...

on that note, i need your help. i need a Halloween costume and i need it stat. there's a mandatory costume party i have to go to on Thursday night and another one on Saturday. i have no qualms with wearing the same thing for both parties, but it's gotta be good.

perhaps some costume history would be appropriate here. i usually end up doing the Nerd thing (i can pull it off really, really well), complete with hiked up pants and an old school Spiderman tie. one year, i rented a Luke Skywalker costume. it came with a light saber and everything (lots of great drunken lewd jokes) (not by me, of course). i guess what i'm trying to say is: my costumes are geek-based. i should probably stick to that theme.

so enlighten me - seen any good costumes lately? got any ideas?

You should go as Ted Nugent. At least that way your typical catch phrase "wang, dang, sweet poontang" would make finally make sense.

you've just reminded me how "out of it" i've become... i haven't seen that movie yet! argh!

I think Napoleon Dynamite is the hands-down winner here. Especially if you can pick up some (what I call) "serial killer" glasses frames. Sweet!

but then what are you going to wear? ah, i know. You should be Dumbledore! He's old and wise, and you're, er, wise. but not old. seriously, if you really aren't going to use the costume, i'd love to. but i don't want to deprive you of your Harry Potter alter-ego.

Dude, Harry Potter! I have the whole costume ready, you don't have to spend any money and you'll win if they have a contest - I won 40 bucks when I wore it! Just say the word and I hook you up!

i have tight jeans? i had no idea. "do these make my ass look fat?"

if you're gonna go geek, go geek all the way: it's all about napolean dynamite. get yourself a unicorn tshirt and blonde curly wig, you already have the glasses and tight jeans. no other costume would allow you to run around like a total-freakshow. goodtimes!

ha! one night stand. i like it. i like the beer can thing too. hmmm. those are both good. i'll take a closer look at that webiste (thanks rebecca!) and see what strikes me. and yes, most of these parties end up with someone naked in a lampshade anyhow. might as well be me.

a Sim -just build yerself a lil' green 3D diamond to place above your head - or - a beer can - foil, light matte board, and paint - or - as your blog........ screen shot... *cough* - oooooooorrr - just go naked. besides, you know you're going to end up naked with a lampshade on your head anyhow. why not look like you're completely assfaced on purpose. ;)

I think you should be a <a href="http://www.tvdance.com/shop/halloween-costumes/ideas/adult-mens-womens/funny/one-night-stand/" rel="nofollow">one night stand</a>. You could make it out of cardboard. Maybe not geeky enough?
