so, you're asking yourself, "self, what does skorloff do at his job?"
the answer is simple: read. a lot. a really really lot. sure, it's not my job, but i enjoy it and i'm good at it, to boot. it's part of my personal credo (yes, i have a credo) to love what you do and do what you love and boy oh boy, do i ever.
while i read 20-30 articles a day from, among others, nytimes.com and salon (subscribe, all the cool kids are doing it), mostly what i read are (surprise) blogs. lots of blogs. even better, i read many of the fine articles and other blogs they link to. basically, i read a double-digit percentage of my waking day.
so, to help you be more like me (it's fun!), here's my current daily blog roll, in the order that i keep:

hi v, thanks for asking :) i'm feeling a little better. sore throat is gone (knock on wood) but i still feel sluggish. i'm back at work now too.

yeah, playing WoW is like being a commie at work these days. lucky for me i've had neither the time nor the energy for it. i'm busy putting together my resume. hardy har har ... ahem. so, p-man: how you doing? wiped out? i'm sending good vibes your way. (and no, skorloff, i'm not sending him an actual vibe... i saw where you were going with that! btw - i too am humbled to make your list of funny, seeing as how you are the funniest person i know.) hmmm... is it wrong to kiss the ass of the stunt-man/stand-in/pinch-blogger? if it's wrong, i don't wanna be right!

for a second there, i thought you were posting from work. but that's probably a bad idea, cuz then your company would find out and probably ban my site. post from work post from work!! i want them to ban my site. that would be cool. my blog would be on par with Lessig's.
