Some time ago, Skorloff was pinch-blogging for me while I was sick with mono or cramming for finals or lord knows what. He posted a most entertaining post about his off-the-charts cholesterol levels and his switch to a vegetarian diet. I’d like to find out how that vegetarian thing is going, and if he's lost more cholesterol points than the equivalent of one slice of bacon.

i went back to the doctor about every three months for awhile. my cholesterol did, indeed, drop. not dramatically, but it did drop. the bad cholesterol fell and the good cholesterol rose a little so the change didn't seem that dramatic. i've been told that while the overall cholesterol count number is notable, there is also the matter of the good to bad cholesterol ratio. i haven't had it checked in a long time. the vegetarian thing is still working out. it was an easy switch then and it's still easy to maintain. i've actually had meals that happened to contain meat, and lemme tell you - i noticed. maybe not exactly when i was eating it, but well, definitely a little later...
