I rode my bike to class the other morning (in the 90 degree heat) and walked into the lecture hall to find it warmer than usual. Since my internal body temperature was already at 175 degrees due to the bike ride, I was especially disappointed to hear the administrator announce, "Sorry, some transformers blew and half of the power is out. There isn't enough power to run the A/C or the projector, so class is canceled for now. Please check the website for updates."
Screw you guys. I'm hot and sweaty. I need A/C, and I just rode here to learn about Criminal Law, or something. It was right about then when I heard some classmates chant: "RE-FUND... RE-FUND... RE-FUND...." Gotta love it when a bunch of to-be lawyers start bitching about getting ripped off.

She was in a movie called "Career Opportunities" back around 1991. It was pretty much a useless movie, except for one scene where she is riding on one of those little horsies that you see in front of targets and wal-marts. It meant a lot to me when I was 16.

He taught the Crim classes in Austin the week before, while I was in Chicago. So, this past week (and tonight - ugg) I had to attend the evening sessions to make up the class & apparently they filmed him in Houston & showed that during the Austin evening classes. For Crim Pro I, he was all sweaty & greasy, gripping the podium, becoming harder & harder to understand with each hour. Then the next day he was more refreshed-looking and made comments about the a/c being out the day before, which only the Houston people (or people that had heard about Houston) would understand. Yeah, I know, that story was fascinating. But it was strange that they made him film the lecture in the un-air conditioned room instead of moving the filming location elsewhere.
